Why is it Important to Hire the #1 Floor Installer in Spokane Valley?

A great floor starts with proper preparation. Incorrect subfloor repair or leveling can shorten the life of the product, causing squeaks or cracks, and create an uneven finished look. An improper install can also void warranties, reduce water resistance or waterproofing, and result in a really bad looking floor.

We take the time to repair or replace damaged subflooring and level the surface, even in older, uneven homes (we’re looking at you Browne’s Addition). We also understand the importance of using the correct underlayment or carpet padding to protect your subfloor and new floors from moisture, rot, and other damage.

Spokane Valley Flooring

Carpet

After getting home after a day on the slopes, there’s nothing quite like taking your stinky socks off to the feel of soft and luscious carpet flooring. We will ensure it’s the correct loop and pile size for the use of the room and give you the best carpet installation in Spokane Valley. Carpet is a great insulator while also catching pet dander and pollen, helping with those awful Spring allergies.

Laminate Flooring

Laminate has come a long way since it was first introduced into homes in 1977. While early laminate offered some water resistance, a spill left unattended could quickly damage the surface and even reach the subfloor. It was also hard, brittle, and not particularly comfortable underfoot.

Today, laminate is a completely different product. With innovations like WetProtect technology, modern laminate can provide waterproof protection against everyday spills. Its construction has also evolved, making it softer and more comfortable underfoot while offering significantly greater resistance to dents, dings, and everyday wear.

Sheet Vinyl Flooring

Sheet vinyl is often associated with the brittle, dated flooring of the 1970s, but today’s products have come a long way. Modern sheet vinyl maintains its excellent waterproof properties while offering a softer, more comfortable feel underfoot. Advances in design and printing technology have also created incredibly realistic and artistic patterns, making it a stylish option for kitchens, laundry rooms, and other areas where moisture is a concern.

Hardwood Flooring

The most common area in the Valley to find a solid wood floor is Millwood and just like the neighborhood, solid hardwood floors are timeless. Popular options include red oak, white oak, maple, and hickory that are warm, aesthetically pleasing, and just feel good when you walk or look at them. They are also one of the highest returns on investment out there, since they have been shown to last hundreds of years when properly cared for.

Engineered Hardwood Flooring

Engineered hardwood features a plywood or HDF core topped with a genuine wood veneer. This construction makes it more cost-effective than solid hardwood while providing greater stability and improved resistance to moisture. It’s also an excellent choice for new homes with radiant heating systems, where dimensional stability is especially important. And because the wear layer can often be sanded and refinished multiple times, engineered hardwood offers long-term durability, beauty, and value.

Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring (LVP)

The term LVF encompasses two similar but distinct flooring products: Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) and Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT). Both offer excellent durability, comfort, wear resistance, and easy maintenance, but each brings its own unique style and benefits.

Luxury Vinyl Plank is a synthetic flooring product designed to replicate the look of real hardwood. It offers excellent water resistance, realistic wood visuals, and an attractive price point thanks to its efficient manufacturing and relatively simple installation as long as the the subfloor is properly prepared.

Luxury Vinyl Tile is designed to be completely waterproof, making it an excellent choice for bathrooms, laundry rooms, and other moisture prone areas. While LVT can also mimic the look of wood, it is particularly impressive in recreating the detailed patterns and natural variation of stone.

Tile Floor

Since ancient times, tile has been a trusted choice for bathroom walls, floors, and other high-moisture areas. When properly installed, tile can create a beautiful, waterproof surface that stands the test of time and can last for generations. Ceramic and porcelain are the most common choices, while subway, glass, mosaic, and terrazzo tiles can be used as complementary accents or as the centerpiece of a design.

Porcelain tile can last 50 years or more thanks to its dense, hardened construction, making it exceptionally durable and moisture resistant. However, its hardness can also make it more challenging to cut and install. Ceramic tile can often last 30 years or more while offering many of the same benefits as porcelain, however, ceramic tile costs can be significantly less.

Duradek Vinyl Decking

For your patio in Bella Vista or on the Spokane River, Duradek is the absolute best choice in outdoor flooring. There is nothing quite like it. The Duradek Ultra Waterproof Vinyl Membrane is the top waterproofing deck solution that we know of. It is aesthetically beautiful and just lasts maintenance free. It handles the area’s freeze, thaw, freeze, thaw winter routine and tolerates the intense July sun without damage or fading.

Why New Floor Installation?

Let’s face it, this area is hard on floors. Slushy boots in the winter, wet boots in springtime, maple leaves getting tracked indoors, and wet clothes from a day on the river all can slowly compromise the surface.

When it’s time to replace an aging floor, start by addressing any underlying damage and preparing the surface properly. Then, choose a flooring material that not only looks great, but also complements your lifestyle, supports a healthy indoor environment, adds value to your home, and performs well for the room’s specific need.

We can help you fin the right option within your budget. Provide your details in the quote form and we’ll quickly follow up with you.

Spokane Valley's Best Flooring and Installation

Carpet Installation

Our carpet company helps you to, within your budget, choose the proper material and design options for the different rooms in your home. On the day of your appointment, our carpet installers will remove the old surface, repair/replace the subfloor, lay down the padding, use tack strips or adhesive, stretch the carpet into place, and tuck, trim, and vacuum to finish.

Before they leave, our team will review proper care and maintenance, explain warranty details, and be available to provide service and support should an issue ever arise in the future.

Laminate Flooring Installation

This most critical aspect of the install is subfloor preparation and this is where the majority of our time is spent during your appointment. Once it is correct, underlayment may be laid if it is not already attached and we will cautiously snap the laminate into place being aware that gaps can cause significant future moisture damage.
The finishing touches are then made with quarter round or moulding.

Installing Sheet Vinyl Flooring

While sheet vinyl is less brittle and more durable than ever, it can still be punctured with imperfections, scraps, nails, and uneven surfaces below. This can be a significant issue since it may negate the waterproof benefits. Therefore, subfloor perfection is critical to the longevity of the product. We will take care and do this correctly so when we take the time to cut and adhere the material it lasts and does what it’s supposed to.

Hardwood Floor Installation

Warping, cracking, and buckling are significant concerns if, even the best hardwood floors, are not acclimated for a minimum of 72 hours. During this acclimation period, our hardwood floor installers will remove the previous surface and clean, dry, and flatten the subfloor. The new wood is then nailed or glued down with a gap for expansion, which is also necessary to avoid buckling. It’s then cleaned and trim is reinstalled to it’s original state.

Engineered Hardwood Flooring Installation

Just like solid planks, acclimation is critical. The number of days varies by the material and the time of year/level of humidity. It is then click locked if tongue and groove or glued down depending on the choice of engineered wood, once again being mindful of the expansion gap and to stagger the joints, finally it is cleaned and the trim is reinstalled.

Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring Installation

LVP also needs to be acclimated (I sense a trend), however, not usually nearly as long as real wood. During the LVP flooring installation we will make sure the subfloor is perfectly flat so that cracks and buckling do not appear in the future. The planks are then clicked together with the assistance of a tapping block and mallet. Like a bridge, temperature swings will cause the material to expand and contrast, making it critical to allow the material to move slightly throughout the year to also avoid buckling and cracking.
LVT is often permanently adhered with an adhesive made just for the material.

Tile Installers

The process tile floor installers is similar no matter what the material. Surface leveling is critical to avoid future cracking/other issues. Significant time will be taken to ensure it is completely flat. Mortar is then used for adhesion and grout (either sanded, unsanded, or other variations depending on the material) is used to finish the floor or wall. We then clear the haze and seal the entire surface to ensure it lasts per manufacturer’s specifications.
This can be lengthy since curing is necessary at nearly every step of the process.
